The Fred Man is a stand-up comedian who is a 3-time cancer survivor. He beat testicular cancer twice (Left and Right). So now all he has is an empty sack. Fred's not male or female--he's marsupial! Then he had esophageal cancer (Gulp!). He is a PEN-award-winning novelist, and FRED Talks inspirational cancer wellness speaker. He has appeared on national television and radio. His battle and life is featured in the documentary "This is Living With Cancer."
Fred fortunately grew up in Freehold, New Jersey, worked as a journalist in Connecticut. He lives in Northern California, where he divides his time between performing, surfing, and working at various wineries in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Fred is grateful for every day. They say at the end of your life, you walk towards the light. He feels you only have to walk towards the light if you live in darkness.
As Fred says, "The role of a lifetime turned out to be me!"
